The Tiny Footprint Outdoor Explorer and Aspects Childcare Settings.

Both settings are in Newmarket - one in Suffolk and one in Cambridgeshire, with drop off and collection at the leaders Way site.

​

They are both sunny, bright learning environments to suit all ages with safe indoor and outdoor areas. There is space for bustling, noisy interaction, as well as quiet areas for thoughtful play, reflection and reading.

​

We aim to spend 50% of our time off premises with the children to enhance their learning and development and to ensure a deep connection with nature.

​

Both main rooms have a range of open ended toys and learning resources available for all ages and abilities which are rotated regularly.

​

Our Meadow Room at Leaders Way has large windows, is built from wooden logs and is astro turfed to bring the outside in. This is used for messy play, yoga, tuff tray activities, story time and many other adult led and child led activities, as well as free play.

​

Outside, the garden is split level, enabling the children to separate for activities, according to age range, or interests. It has a mud kitchen, play house, building blocks, messy water play area and small world play. There is also an outdoor classroom with sensory boxes, lights and a water feature, alongside an area for the children to plant and grow their own vegetables.

​

Centre Drive has a main room and allocated space for cooking and arts and craft activities. The garden has a growing area, separate grass and chip bark area, log circle and a wooden cabin filled with open end, wooden toys and a cosy quiet space for reflection and small group work. 

​

Both settings are used by the children so they all get an opportunity to visit the different spaces inside and out.

​

All of these separate areas give the little ones, and older children, who do not want to always join in the rough and tumble of the others, their own quieter safe space to play, imagine, watch and enjoy.
